"Lists" vs "Contacts" in HubSpot

HubSpot's power rests in its ability to create segmented lists that are both static (unchanging) and smart (dynamically populated based on behaviour). But not everyone on your team should use lists.

HubSpot Lists are powerful tools. Lists will drive your Automation Workflows, your HubSpot email campaigns, and your Hubspot Reports.

Because of the long term life of HubSpot Workflows, Emails and Report – and their reliance on the accuracy behind HubSpot Lists – not everyone in your team should be using Lists. Instead, leave Lists for the use of your Super Users and Marketers.

Everyone else can pull the data they need in Contacts without interfering with the rest of your marketing and reporting efforts.
